Download file to see previous pages... Although these are American nationals like the other communities, they face some issues and challenges in their everyday lives. They are often grouped and classified as one huge group, and most people do not understand that they are separate and distinguished groups. Therefore, this memo serves to highlight some of the issues that these communities face.
Lack of adequate education opportunities. The youths in these particular communities do not have access to proper opportunities of education. There are an alarming statistics concerning the rates of high school and college dropouts amongst these communities. It is also alarming to see that a limited number of these youth make it to the national universities and colleges. Many of these communities lack sufficient financial support. These communities many times find themselves unable to provide quality education services to their youth because of financial limitations.
Another issue facing these communities is the lack of economic opportunities for most of these individuals. They require proper opportunities for employment, and many of them end up with low-paying jobs or unstable employment opportunities. With these economic problems, they find it difficult to support their families and accurately address their needs. With such challenges indeed they undergo much stress. The lack of proper opportunities for decent jobs with comfortable salaries is a major issue facing these communities, and it adds strain to the Asian American community.
Another issue that the Asian Community faces is the lack of adequate healthcare opportunities. Many of them lack the capability to access quality healthcare. They lack opportunities for proper health care because of financial incapability that limit their choices when it comes to good health care.
