Sociologists can help reporters and the media understand the social problems that cause specific social problems through data collection. Sociologists employ rigorous sampling methods to collect information on a certain societal issue. Sociologists cover a wider audience and use both verbal and written means. Reporters and the media can learn the art of reaching a wide audience (Ase.tufts.edu, 2015).
Bureaucracy and paperwork, fragmentation and health insurance and insurance policies in United States contribute to social problems at both micro and macro levels (Levie, 2014). Bureaucracy and paperwork increase the amount of daily work that should be documented to keep patient information, but it can remedied by employing digital systems. The existence of Medicare, Medicaid, Veteran’s Administration, and private insurers fragment the health system. However, fragmentation can be solved through the institution of one regulated system at both state and federal levels. Health insurance and insurance policies are too expensive and complicated to allow an average person afford and understand it. Federal and state governments should make the policies comprehensible through law.
