The fact that the employees at Wal-Mart are generally unhappy about their work conditions, especially the salary, is a major factor that will lead to them eventually gathering courage to have a more serious action against the Wal-Mart. When this happens, it will be a big force that will affect not only Wal-Mart but also the rest of economy. Wal-Mart has set the standards of how employees should be treated, especially in the retail industry (Miroff et al 358). These standards have now been adopted by other retailers, as well as other businesses in other sectors of the economy. Wages for manufacturing employees have also declined over the years. This continued trend of oppressing the poor workers will have to have an end sooner or later. Wal-Mart is the largest private employer in the United States of America, and also in the world.
