A principle like education and awareness for all is very crucial since it enables individuals to go beyond narrow fields of endeavor to take a greater responsibility for the society whilst educating each other about critical interdependencies.
This guiding principle of strong neighborhoods with identifiable centers that are diverse in their residents and physical characteristics is very crucial since people will value, acknowledge, and work with different classes, races, and gender as they engage in a safe and productive dialogue with regard to privilege, power, and oppression in their community (City of Charlottesville , 2013). This ensures that there is mixed use of everything. For instance, both the disabled and marginalized group using the same banking and housing facilities.
Another importance principle is that individuals would be aware and celebrate the value of both cultural and biological diversity and their interdependence as very crucial assets for the health and well being of the people and community (Center for Whole Communities, 2010), by engaging in cultural festivals.
A community’s access to safe public transportation and communication networks, alternative modes of transportation, and an interconnected pedestrian and bicycle access, which creates self-sufficient neighborhoods, reduces environmental pollution thus reducing global warming.
