In this paper, I seek to explore the core concept in sociology “mechanical social solidarity” and in doing this, will outline how white race consist of norms, practices, and body of knowledge that have been imposed over the history.
For the past years, preference of the race has primary occurred in employment and higher education. The most designated groups have been Native Americans, Hispanics, Blacks, and Asian Americans. As noted, on average the white families encompass a net worth, which is 11 times that of black families. With no doubt, over the years the preference of the whites is so evident that even infants of the whites inherit trillion of money from their families. Even in schools set up, talented students of the different race are discriminated from accessing extra points because of their race, economic status, as well as their neighbourhood. The norms, practices, and ideologies of the white affects the way people view the race as well as what it entails. In turn, this influences how the whites are viewed better from other races often discriminated from social benefits such as good paying job.

Whites Swim in Racial Preference. One of the central problems in sociology concerns how to align the biological concept of race with the social, and to understand how race and racial preferences shape our social world.
