Researchers state that teenage pregnancy is also caused by lack of economic opportunity which compels young girls to earn survival through sexual activities.
If the lack of opportunity for young girls and boys continue to persist, then the number of teenagers getting pregnant in future will reach higher proportions. Policy makers and institutions must not forget to educate teens regarding the negative economic, health and social issues resulting from the issue of teenage pregnancy.
