Due to the fact that social inequalities, demographic changes, environmental factors, and a host of other indicators can definitively change the approach and best practices that a sociologist or social worker should choose to engage with, it is necessary to understand and define these prior to any project taking place. In effect, this allows the analyst or social worker to judge the situation in a predetermined manner; as well as being cognizant of the potential challenges and difficulties that might be exhibited within the paradigm in question.
