With the creation of better transportation, it becomes easier to create a resilient system that can protect the company from any logistic issues. The release of goods and the allowance of better transit times and reliability attributes allow for dominant factors that make it easy to deal with low value and high value commodities (Rose, Bliemer, Hensher, & Collins, 2008). By transforming the transportation process, the value of goods is maintained and the reliability allows for easier access to goods and services.
Lack of planning is one major cause of disruptions in any company. By lacking a good way of deal with the spaces available in a warehouse, it takes longer to have all the available goods cleared. This provides more difficulties in handling the issues that work towards proper and easier clearance. Excessive division of spaces in a warehouse could be confusing and disrupt the stocking and undocking of goods from the warehouse (OECD, 2006).
