The article delves into the relationship of biodiversity loss and cosmic radiation by highlighting evidence on the cosmic cause and its impact on the Earth. Evidently, cosmic radiation is experienced during the solar system’s journey in the Milky Way. During this period, the galaxy’s northern side is set on a collision course with hot gas surrounding it that result into cosmic wave generation. Consequently, the earth is exposed to the harmful cosmic waves that deplete the ozone layer, adversely affect organisms and lead to climate change. The relevance of cosmic radiation to society is foremost in the understanding the mass extinction of certain marine species. Moreover, it offers insight on the trigger effect of climate change and ozone depletion. Furthermore, the mutations that occur on organisms after cosmic radiation that lead to extinction are aptly comprehended by society.

There are three forms of skin cancer, Basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma. The former two are together referred to as non-melanoma skin cancers and are the most common type of skin cancer in white population, caused by exposure to UVB radiation. 80% of these are Basal cell carcinoma. Malignant melanoma is the most dangerous consequence and carries significant mortality, i.e. three times higher than non-melanoma cancers in Unites...

Radiation
..., and for reducing the size of tonsils and adenoids. In Nasal Radium Irradiation technique two cylinders made of radium sulfate are inserted in the cavity behind mouth and nose-the nasopharyngeal opening. The cylinders generally contain 25 milligrams of radioactive radium sulfate. The time of exposure is around 8.5 minutes. The radium sulfate being radioactive disintegrates and releases three types of ionizing radiations-alpha, beta and gamma. The alpha particles do not penetrate the tissues because they have comparatively lower penetrating ability and hence are blocked by the applicator. The beta particles penetrate the over grown tissues in the nasopharynx. The gamma rays-with the highest penetrating ability are...

Radiation Experiments
... Radiation Experiments Introduction Ultraviolet rays are a form of electromagnetic waves whose wavelengthis much shorter than that of the visible light. The wavelength varies from 10nm to 400nm, the energy of these wave ranges from 3eV to 124eV. The sun emits UV rays and is one of the natural sources of these rays. Artificially, these rays are produced by backlights, fluorescent lights and electric arcs such as those produced during welding. UV rays have many substantial effects and damages to both living things and the materials. It triggers chemical reactions, causes substances to grow and causes sun burn to people. UV rays are also beneficial to humans; these include the UV watermark that helps in authentication of credit cards... ...

American National Weather Service refers to the period as the annual month of the North Atlantic Hurricane (Elsner, 2009, p. 59). During the month of December, there is excessive supply of moisture and heat from the tropical ocean. The moisture supply reduces stability of the atmosphere that establishes favorable environment for organizes conventions that act as a precondition to tropical cyclones.
