Although survey research gives much more comfort and ease to the organizations in gathering data in a short span of time, yet this can only happen if questionnaire is structured properly. If the questionnaire is not structured accordingly the coverage of the gathered data can be inadequate; the gathered data from different regions can give variations in the results and since the questionnaires are filled through internet by social networking channels, the audience can reject to voice their opinion.
Survey research is gaining more popularity now with the advancement in technology and world-wide-web. Previously, before the introduction of computers and internet, it was not possible to use similar methods and gain data from a larger population. The data was restricted to a particular region and to a particular group.
One of the important features of the film relating to research was gathering data with respect to the Pacific Gas and Electric Company and their attempt to poison the neighborhood by disposing toxic waste. The case that makes Erin Brockovich famous and popular in the field once she had lost her job was a single unemployed mother who asked her own lawyer to give her a job once he lost her case in court. She was talented young women but failed to prove herself because of lack of good opportunities and slump of employment in the market (IMBD, 2014).
Our focus of discussion in the paper would be the methods used by Erin Brockovich to gather information relating to the company and how she gathered evidence to prove and win her case.
