That is, the concept of praxis creates a platform for nurses to look at situations in their larger contexts, develop generalizations from personal experiences and act accordingly. This has been considered among the most important concepts of nursing apart from the four meta-paradigms. Stewardship in nursing means holding trust for generations in future; that is, proper use of nursing knowledge and skills to ensure that future generation also benefit from them. On the other hand, the concept of stewardship in nursing has also been described as a scenario of taking actions in a dimension of integrity, being accountable for one’s actions in order to ensure that patients are provided with effective and efficient services. Stewardship has also been associated with taking consideration of ethics, respecting medical rules et cetera. A good example of stewardship in the real nursing profession involves the application of medical rules and regulation i.e. patient medical information confidentiality guidelines.
This is another important concept of nursing; it creates a platform for recognition of knowledge as a public or a social product that can be properly acquired in an environment characterized by individuals that exhibit mutual support for each other in relation to proper decision making, judgment as well as offering professional practice.
