The nurses should be aware of the proper dosage techniques of insulin along with the appropriate ways of injecting the drug to the patients. The nurses should be actively involved in such cases and they should monitor these patients on regular basis to ensure that their blood glucose levels stay within the normal limits. The nurses also have important roles in the outpatient settings. Their proper understanding of insulin administration ways is essential owing to the fact that they have to impart this knowledge to the patients as well. The patients are to be guided in the best manner so that when they are at home, they know the best ways to take care of their health. This is done by explaining the ways of administering insulin in association with proper dosage and monitoring.The knowledge with regard to insulin administration is very essential for my career as a registered nurse. This is because it is an important aspect of the work that a nurse has to perform. It is important for the nursing practice as they are actively involved in both the hospital settings as well as the outpatient departments.
