As a result, it can be applied by other children and by parents to impart knowledge to their children. In addition, it portrays the value of family ties, since with the death of Little Tree’s parents his grandparents taking him in. As a result, kinship ties are crucial in bringing up children due their dependency. In addition, I am attracted by the simple lifestyle that the grandparents live, as it proves that not much is required to live a comfortable life and provide for ones’ self and other dependants. Moreover, the book teaches on how one should view the world and live at peace and harmony. Harmonious living is taught in the book through portrayal of the Cherokee way of life. Through the knowledge learnt from the book, it plays a key role in demonstrating the importance of interpersonal relationships, the Cherokee way.
Moreover, it is also an appealing book due to the demonstrations of independence displayed through Cherokee way of life. Through this Little Tree learns how to live independently, which is a value that the world can adopt, as well. In addition, the book highlights most of the prejudices, which existed in the 1930s, and how they were used against selected communities. This is particularly so for the Cherokee community where they are labeled as lazy by the white people. Therefore, it portrays the sufferings of minority groups such as blacks and the Native Americans. Moreover, it shows the degradation of these minority groups by Whites who view them as being lesser beings as compared to them. Additionally, it exerts the unfair practices that the whites impose on the local minorities and oppression. Through this, it offers the history from the 1930s in a basic form that can be easily comprehended by all. Furthermore, this book that uses vivid description, in a sense that makes everything come to life owing ...Download file to see next pagesRead More

The Trouble with Little Tree

...November 21, The Trouble with Little Tree I read “The Education of Little Tree” (F. Carter) and I liked itokay but it was sometimes boring.
