In such case, if one refers an individual by faith, such as Islam, he or she is advised to describe such person by encapsulating the five obligations rather than being constricted with the term “Muslim.” Actually, among the five pillars, I have not complied yet with the third requisite. Our family believes that only those “truly prepared beings” can go to the mosque. This only exemplifies how Muslims really value the sanctity of the mosque in Mecca.
I am hoping to gain enlightenment with regard to the true essence of life in this world. This is not to say that I have religious doubts, I am just bothered by the fact that there are still people in the world who are atheists. For me, an atheist is an individual who doesn’t believe in one God and is therefore against with any religious congregations. As to the different religions in the world, I do believe that it is essential for a human being to be part in any of them. This is due to the fact that only those institutions can guarantee one a deep and comprehensive explanation of the mysteries of the world. In such case, I would like to have a concrete knowledge of the various religions in the globe so that I could formulate a bias-free thesis as to the true purpose of one’s existence.
