China, the emerging Asian giant, is one of the largest countries in the world in terms of its area and population. The flourishing Chinese economy is a result of its high agricultural output and the booming industries in the country. The country is one of the major centers for industrial operations and is home to several industries of different sizes producing a vast array of different products. Owing to its carefully designed foreign trade policies, China has managed to maintain cordial trade relations with countries all over the world. Each year China exports goods worth millions of dollars to other countries.
The Chinese government has differing policies for exports and imports. When it comes to imports, the government has strict laws and regulations. Exporters who wish to export goods in China must abide by these rules and regulations. Firstly, the goods must meet the specifications set by the authorities for goods falling in the categories. There are certain goods which are also not permissible by the government; hence the business exporting these to China needs to consider that. Also, certain products are allowed exemptions of duties and taxes.
As far as exports to other countries are concerned, Chinese have a totally different policy. The country greatly encourages the local producers to export goods to other countries. Already China is one of the largest exporters of all kinds of goods to countries all over the world. The Chinese export policies are geared around allowing the maximum benefits to the exporters in a number of ways. This would include providing tax holidays and tax exemptions to businesses, promoting the products worldwide in trade fairs and exhibition and subsidizing costs of production.
