Stating in another way we can say that these areas are offering frameworks involving adoption as well as implementation of new technologies as well as business technology modernisms require comprising realistic establishment for performance outcomes (Santhanam, Sasidharan, Brass, & Sambamurthy, 2006).
There is another discipline regarding the design and implementation of enterprise information system architectures that is growing interest in the discipline of knowledge management. In this scenario the knowledge management discipline is pushing the importance from the inputs side of the performance equation to the performance outcomes. It is analyzed that in the knowledge management area knowledge is acquired in a variety of technologies and related artifacts, repositories and human minds (Santhanam, Sasidharan, Brass, & Sambamurthy, 2006).
Another main discipline in the design and implementation of enterprise information system architectures is the human computer interaction. In general it is main need to create frictionless flows of knowledge by minimizing the inefficiencies in the design of human computer systems. The discipline of human computer interaction helps in handling and managing the new system interaction design (Santhanam, Sasidharan, Brass, & Sambamurthy, 2006).
Shih (2003) stated that a number of influential management viewpoints regarding implementation of enterprise information system architectures. The main IT and IS related areas are CIM, SCM, BPR, CE and TQM.
