To become a reflective practitioner requires skills in analyzing occurrences to spell out one’s emotions, develop strategies which are significant in accomplishing objectives and progress. In my future professional practice, reflective practice will be accomplished through maintaining a clear view of the past and finding solutions based on encounters of the past. I believe in learning through experience, which helps people to rectify the mistakes that they could have made in their lives, making them capable of avoiding problems in future. Teaching is one of the professions that are highly dependent on experience. Students learn new things every time they graduate to a new level, yet they are required to remember what they learnt in the previous years. Reflective practice will be my foundation towards helping students to learn. I will ensure that they acquire the capability of analyzing the information they have acquired in the past, to deal with future challenges. As a teacher, it will be important to reflect on my past, as well as help the students to understand that I have also endured a lot to accomplish my personal development goals, and that they can also achieve a lot in education through endurance.
Critical thinking is reflective judgment regarding issues that need to be evaluated and analyzed so that a person can determine what to do especially when faced with a dilemma. In many occasions, what people observe, encounter, hear and read can be useful if critical thinking is applied to get the meaning of certain observations or expressions.
