"Papyrus Australia"

An industry that has not seen much change in product variety during last century is the paper industry. Paper is the key material used to create the written press. Our educational system is highly depended on the creation of books made out of paper. This industry faces long term problems because paper is created by cutting down trees and using them as raw material. Deforestation is one of the biggest environmental problems in the world and one of the main causes of global warming. “The world’s rainforest could completely vanish in a hundred years at the current rate of deforestation.” (Nationalgeographic, 2011). A new innovative company that is going to revolutionize the paper industry is Papyrus Australia (PPY). Papyrus Australia has a patented technology that creates a new paper type called the banana ply paper. Banana ply paper is made out of the truck of banana trees which is a renewable source of raw material. References Mirriam-webster.com (2011). Innovation.
