Based on the reading what gave Spanish the advantage is the sober mind of Aztec’s who felt for the godly looks of Spanish. They believed that godly looks of Spanish were divine and as the Aztec culture goes they respected and welcomed them with gifts and festive. Also the Aztec was more culture and ritual based and their leader was a coward who was more concerned about his safety than his people’s welfare. So he could not protect his men from the evil eye and revengeful approach of Spanish. Also the Spanish had the advantage of the favor of the enemy tribes of Aztec. This made the Aztec surrender their lands to Spanish. Also the contagious diseases brought down by Spanish were dangerous for Aztec empire and this wiped out almost all the Aztec tribe in less time span. All these aspects proved advantageous to Spanish.
On the account, Mary prince is a slave sold to many masters couple of times ,she changes herself due to her urge to come up in life and free herself from the bondage of slavery. She wanted to be independent and have a life of her own. This is the reason why she tried to earn of her own washing clothes for people, selling coffee and yams and other provision to the ships and outsiders. It is her hard work and also the desire to get educated which changed her life. Even being a slave she joined church and learnt to read and write .She empowered herself to be a strong women and with her determination could narrate herself in a book her life experience as a struggling slave. Her story is accurate as it is not unconvincing as she herself is supposed to have narrated her life experience and it cannot have adulteration as it was published by an anti slave activitist.
