This case involved the kidnapping of the son of Charles Lindbergh, who was a famed aviator. The baby was kidnapped from his crib at around 9 p.m. on March 3, 1932 (Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), n.d.). The case attracted a lot of media attention and several people across the nation took notice of it. The kidnappers demanded a ransom $50,000 according to the note that was taken to the police for investigations. The ransom note had initially been in the baby Charles nursery, and besides broken ladder was discovered outside of the window (Busch, 1970).
