Whereas before we did not have to go far from our homes to get food, nowadays we can go on foot for days and not find food. There is a real danger that if we go far enough, we will not be able to come back alive, but instead die of hunger along the way. We need to continue to make statues because of this. We need to appease the gods, who have become angry with us for some wrongs we may have committed in the past. If we stop making statues now, then for sure the whole tribe will perish because the gods will become even angrier. It is true that the few trees we have left is also a source of food, and that if we conserve the trees we have a chance of living through this creeping famine, until we are able to find food. I am telling you this is wrong. Some are saying why not use our remaining food as fuel to find more food, rather than spend our remaining food and energies making statues? I am telling you this is wrong thinking. We have to make use of ...Download file to see next pagesRead More
