Memorable School Experience

...?Memorable School Experience While I had a number of memorable high school experiences, the one that stands out the most in my memory was actually a negative occurrence at the time. During my freshman year of high school my family moved to a new state. Although I was open to change, I dreaded having to unearth my life and try to begin anew in an entirely different area. After moving I recognized that the transition would be more difficult than I originally imagined. I had difficulty meeting friends or establishing substantial relationships. My lack of a social life led me to focus on scholastics. I joined advanced classes and intently did my homework every night. It was not long before school became a...

A Memorable Christmas

...A Memorable Christmas Above the din and clutter of chaos in the room, one could easily pick out the unmistakable voice of Jim Reeves in the background. The bass of his voice, the sound of the cymbals, and the mellow mood around the place added to the authenticity of the occasion. All around the walls, the house was bedecked in bright red and yellow floral allure of Christmas imagery and other accoutrements that complete the picture of the special day. The plastic flowers in the gigantic ceramic flower vase looked so real that one had to touch them just to confirm they were not. Few people had high expectations for the day as most suspected it would be the usual routine of Christian rituals and some little partying to...

...Describing a Memorable Meal When I was a small child, I recall the experience of eating at a flash restaurant. My family was relatively poor and thus we had to make do in many situations. I can recall that we occasionally did not have enough food to go around and my parents chose to go without so my siblings and I would not have to. Because of this, I was always grateful for any type of food that was put on my plate because I understood the feeling of not having anything at all. Capturing memorable moments

...Capturing Memorable Moments 2. In my opinion, “Ground Zero” and “Crushed Car” by James Nachtwey cannot leave a person untouched by the horror events they describe. Both works of the author are extremely vivid and bright in the way they depict the tragedy that occurred. Both mark the talent and skillfulness of their creator that communicate to the audience through the given pieces of art. Although each work strikes, when given the chance to choose which is the most articulate, I will argue that the “Crushing Car” called the bigger range of emotions. It is more powerful in making one to see the whole picture of what was happening at that moment. To my mind, this is due to...
