Typically, the machines are operated by inserting currency or credit card into the machines to authorize an automatic purchase of the desired items. As common machines in colleges in the country, the need for the use of vending machine has only been increasing and not vice versa. Due to this reason, it is apparent that the number of vending machines in private colleges should be increased. With conversely major benefits on the use of these machines, it is logical that their locations with colleges should certainly be increased. Since vending machines provide a wide variety of benefits to students while in colleges, they should be subsequently increased in order to yield more positive effects.
There are various concerns over whether more vending machines should be installed in colleges. One of the refuting illustration of why such machines should be concerns it that they promote unhealthy diet and eating behaviors among students. Such claim attribute that the installation of more vending machines will certainly encourage the students to take junk food more often, subsequently promoting a dangerous and unhealthy behavior. In addition, students will likely develop a trait of making more frequent purchases at the purposed large number of vending machines in colleges across the United States. This character can easily promote a generation of obese students due to the ready available junk foods in vending machines around the schools.
The claim about the vending machines promoting unhealthy eating habits and obese can be solved by understanding how vending machines in college and schools in the US.
