It is important to highlight that the cave is located at the bottom of the low lying cliff that is at the mouth of the Lord Woods in the north eastern end in Doward, this is next to the Symonds Yat with a distance approximated to be 4 miles. It is known that the cave is said to have been inhabited by the early man in the upper Paleolithic era.
